Most AI cover letter tools generate the whole letter from scratch — resulting in generic output that reads like ChatGPT. ApplyEdge works differently: you write the letter once, in your own voice and style, and mark only the parts that need to change per application using simple blank syntax (_ for short fills, [DESCRIPTION] for guided fills). The AI fills only those blanks. Everything else stays exactly as you wrote it.

One curation = one job description run through the curator. The preview (seeing edits + reasons in-app) is free. PDF or DOCX export uses one export credit — included in Seeker and Campaigner plans, or available as an à la carte purchase. Re-exporting the same version for typo fixes does not use another credit.

By default, we use DeepSeek V4 Flash via OpenRouter — a frontier-class MoE model at ~$0.10/$0.20 per million tokens. This keeps costs low without sacrificing quality. On the Campaigner plan, you can connect your own OpenRouter API key and choose any model you prefer.

Your resume and job description are sent to the AI model for processing and are not stored by us beyond your own application history. By default, processing routes through DeepSeek's servers. If data sovereignty is a concern, use the Campaigner plan with your own OpenRouter key — you control which provider and model handles your data.

Yes. Cancel from Settings → Billing at any time. Your plan stays active through the end of the current paid period. No long-term contracts, no cancellation fees.

Campaigner plan users can add their own OpenRouter API key in Settings. We encrypt it and route all AI calls through your account — so token spend comes directly from your OpenRouter balance, not ours. This gives you full model choice, spend visibility, and data control. Useful for power users who want to use a specific model or manage API costs themselves.
